In this post we discuss how the client used our architectural expertise and strong oil derivatives domain knowledge and our in-depth Murex platform expertise to design their ETL interface from Murex to the data warehouse utilising an XML based messaging middleware.
This client with multiple trading systems in place wanted to deploy an ETL (extract, transform, and load) framework to create a data warehouse that aggregates information from all the trading systems for a unified middle and back office workflow.
Working directly with the technical architecture team MapleRisk utilised its subject matter expertise and business driven approach to develop and translate business based user stories into technical deliverables.
Through our Agile DevOps methodology deliverables were iteratively built in partnership with the clients technology partners and engineering teams before being deployed for technical and functional testing and feedback.
Following our Agile DevOps approach ensured development remained tightly aligned to both technical architecture constraints and end user goals with changes and challenges being highlighted early and integrated into the ongoing development cycle ensuring delivery targets remained on track.
The development of a fit for purpose bespoke Murex trade by trade pricing and position extraction solution that integrated into the in-house developed global middle and back office system via the clients middleware and ETL- extract, transform, and load-concept.
